As a Utilities Equipment Repairer, you’ll supervise and perform maintenance on vital utilities equipment and support systems, such as air conditioners and refrigeration units, to make sure they are kept in top working condition in any environment. You’ll train to read temperature and pressure gauges, make operating adjustments to utility equipment, test for leaks, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and read and use technical manuals and diagnostic instruments.
As a Tactical Power Generation Specialist, you’ll supply the power needed to run virtually every aspect of Army activity; power that must be available whenever and wherever the Army needs it. You will supervise and perform maintenance and repairs on power-generation equipment, internal combustion engines, and associated equipment in mobile and stationary power plants. You’ll train to use high-tech test and diagnostic equipment, read complex wiring schematics and diagrams, and repair electrical components.
As an Allied Trade Specialist, you’ll supervise the fabrication, repair, and modification of metallic and nonmetallic parts to ensure the Army’s equipment is operating reliably. You’ll operate lathes, drilling presses, grinders, welding machines, and other machine shop equipment while also serving as a welder. As an Air Traffic Control Equipment Repairer, you’ll help ensure flight safety, keeping our pilots safe by maintaining and installing air traffic control communications, navigation aids, and landing systems. You’ll test instruments, navigational controls, and simulators using electronic and electrical test equipment, replace equipment parts, and perform quality control measures.
As a Radio Equipment Repairer, you’ll perform or supervise essential preventive maintenance checks and services on radios, transmitters, communication security equipment, and other associated equipment to ensure secure communication is always available. It’ll be your responsibility to calibrate and align equipment components, as well as use test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment. You’ll test program sets and use interactive electronic technical manuals to troubleshoot and repair equipment.

As a Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment Maintenance Support Specialist, you'll maintain the Army's precision instruments, keeping them in top working condition and ensuring they are always accurate. You’ll calibrate and repair test equipment, and you'll adjust and synchronize watches, clocks, and timers. You’ll learn electronic theory, how to read schematics, indirect and alternating current, and resistance and circuit analysis.
As a Radar Repairer, you'll maintain and repair essential on-the-ground surveillance radar equipment, one of the most sophisticated and decisive pieces of technology. You’ll inspect, test, and adjust system components and equipment used to detect enemy artillery and mortar rounds for proper defense.
